The Ho Chi Minh City Medical – Pharmaceutical Industrial Park is established in Le Minh Xuan 2 Industrial Park (with an area of 338 hectares – in Le Minh Xuan commune, Binh Chanh district). This will be the center for research, development and innovation in the field of medicine and pharmacy; focusing on production and trading facilities for specialized medical and pharmaceutical products and auxiliary products in the high-tech segment; a transaction center for specialized medical and pharmaceutical products and auxiliary products. According to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, it is expected that the Medical – Pharmaceutical Industrial Park will complete its infrastructure and be put into operation from 2030. The city hopes that with special support policies from the Government, the Ministry of Health and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, it will promote and create conditions for businesses to bring products to the market as soon as possible to serve the supply of high-quality drugs, meeting treatment needs.

Projects to produce medicines for humans, vaccines, and medical supplies will be fully supported by the City for loan interest. In addition, supporting businesses to participate in value chain linkages in the pharmaceutical industry, Ho Chi Minh City departments and branches are also completing plans and budget estimates to support small and medium enterprises in 2024 and the period 2024 – 2026.
