Moody's and Standard & Poor's Rates Maintain Stability
Moody’s announced 2024’s rating and maintains rating at Aa3 with a stable outlook, and affirms the performance of the central bank’s policy.
The report pointed out that Taiwan’s fiscal and monetary policies have maintained institutional effectiveness for a long time. Effective and credible monetary and general economic policies continue to support stability and resist external pressures (including global prices hike, external demand drop and rising interest rates)
However, Moody’s expects that geopolitical risks will remain , and rapid population aging poses long-term economic growth and fiscal challenges.
S&P( Standard ＆ Poor) remains Taiwan’s rating AA+ with stable outlook as well, and is positive about robust external position and strong fiscal settings.
