Financial Requirements for PVIP

The PVIP is targeted at individuals who meet specific financial criteria, ensuring that applicants are capable of contributing to Malaysia’s economy. Here are the key financial requirements:

  • Minimum Financial Investment: Applicants must demonstrate a significant financial standing, with a minimum investment of RM1 million in the form of a fixed deposit with a licensed bank in Malaysia.
  • Minimum Monthly Income: Applicants must also show proof of a monthly income of at least RM40,000 or RM480,000 This ensures that PVIP holders can support themselves and their families during their stay in Malaysia.
  • Property Ownership: While not mandatory, many PVIP applicants choose to purchase property in Malaysia. Foreigners are typically required to purchase property in Malaysia with a minimum value set by the local state government. In most states, the minimum is RM1 million for property purchases.
  • High Participation Fee: Participation fee of RM 200,000 for the Principal Applicant and RM 100,000 for each Dependent.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the PVIP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Open to all age categories.
  • Health: Applicants must be in good health, with no serious medical conditions that would require long-term treatment.
  • Financial Standing: Applicants must meet the minimum investment and income requirements as mentioned earlier.
  • Clean Criminal Record: Applicants must have no criminal record in their home country or Malaysia.
