MTEP offers entrepreneurs a range of passes to facilitate their entry into the technology sector. These passes facilitate the entry and residence of individuals in the dynamic realm of technology-driven ventures.
Types of passes
MTEP provides three distinct types of passes for entrepreneurs to apply:
- Pass for New Tech Entrepreneur – 1-year Professional Visit Pass
- Pass for Experienced Tech Entrepreneur – 5-year Resident Pass
- Pass for Tech Investor – 5-year Resident Pass
How to Apply?
To obtain your pass through the Malaysia Tech Entrepreneur Programme (MTEP), follow these straightforward steps:
Step 1: Submit Online Application
Commence the process by submitting your application online through the designated platform.
Step 2: Approval Process
Wait for the approval process, which typically takes around four weeks.
Step 3: Enter Malaysia
Upon approval, proceed to enter Malaysia as part of the next phase.
Step 4: Passport Endorsement
Complete the necessary passport endorsement procedures as required by the immigration authorities.
Step 5: Pass Issuance
Expect the issuance of your pass, typically taking about one week. This step is contingent upon the successful submission of all required documents, verified by MDEC.
