Hai Phong Awarded Investment Certificates to Chinese Businesses
At the Investment Promotion Conference of Hai Phong City in China in 2024, held on August 7 in the Shenzhen City (China), Hai Phong City leadership delegation, led by Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation, has conducted many investment promotion activities with Chinese businesses.
Specifically, Hai Phong City’s leaders have awarded investment registration certificates to 7 Chinese enterprises with a total investment capital of 190 million USD, including: Solar glass production project of Flat Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hai Phong DEEP C Industrial Park with an additional investment capital of 50 million USD; High-tech electronic components manufacturing project of Vietnam Ways Technology Co., Ltd. in Hai Phong DEEP C Industrial Park with a total investment of 15 million USD; Plastic floor production project of CFL Holdings Limited Company in DEEP C Industrial Park in Hai Phong with a total investment of 10 million USD; Auto parts manufacturing and processing project of Yuekai Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in An Duong Industrial Park with an additional investment capital of 35 million USD.
Project to produce safety airbags for cars of HMT Hai Phong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in An Duong Industrial Park with an additional investment capital of 12 million USD; Mechanical equipment and industrial spare parts production project of Finework International Company in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park with a total investment of 10 million USD; Automobile diagnostic equipment manufacturing project of Autel Vietnam Co., Ltd. in An Duong Industrial Park with an additional investment capital of 58 million USD.
In addition to the issuance of investment registration certificates, 4 memorandums of cooperation were also signed between Chinese businesses with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and industrial park infrastructure businesses in Hai Phong, including a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between DEEP C Industrial Park Complex and CFL Holdings Limited on expanding the existing investment project to 100 million USD in DEEP C Hai Phong Industrial Park; MOU between Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park and Khoi Nguyen Co., Ltd. on the investment project to produce phone components worth 12 million USD in Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park; MOU between Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and Exquisite Power Vietnam Co., Ltd. on expanding the battery assembly project for mobile phones and laptops at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park with increased investment capital nearly 100 million USD more; MOU between Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and Tham Viet Joint Investment Company Limited on increasing attraction and support for Chinese businesses and investors to invest in Hai Phong City and announced the establishment of the Industrial Real Estate Consulting Center of Tham Viet Investment Company Limited in Hai Phong.
Up to now, Hai Phong City has 405 investment projects from China with a total capital of 6.14 billion USD (including mainland China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China)). In addition, Chinese businesses in Hai Phong annually export 5.34 billion USD, employing 58,000 workers, contributing to the city’s socio-economic development.
