In the first 5 months of 2024, Binh Duong attracted more than half a billion USD of FDI capital into industrial zones
The Management Board of Binh Duong Industrial Zones (BDIZA) has just announced data that in the past 5 months, Binh Duong has granted 58 new projects with a total registered capital of more than 270 million USD to FDI enterprises, 210 FDI projects adjusted to increase capital by more than 250 million USD. Cumulatively to date, industrial zones in Binh Duong have attracted over 3,130 projects, of which FDI projects account for nearly 80% with a total registered capital of 29.7 billion USD. Accordingly, as of May 2024, Binh Duong has attracted nearly 4,300 FDI projects with a total investment capital of nearly 40.6 billion USD from 65 countries and territories, ranking 3rd in the country after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
One of the new generation industrial zones and outstanding FDI investment attraction in the area in the first 5 months of the year is Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP 3). This industrial park currently attracts many international investors, especially in the high-tech field. Currently, VSIP 3 has more than 30 international companies interested with a total expected investment capital of up to 1.8 billion USD. VSIP 3 has a scale of 1,000 hectares and prioritizes 7 main industries: electronics, automobile manufacturing, mechanical manufacturing, textiles, food and other industries.
Currently, BDIZA is focusing on advising and promoting the establishment and development of about 10 new industrial zones in the period 2023 – 2030. Accordingly, it is expected that by the end of 2025, Binh Duong will establish 2 new industrial zones, with a total land use area of about 1,000 hectares in Bac Tan Uyen district and Tan Uyen city. Among them, the specialized mechanical industrial park with an area of about 800 hectares with the goal of attracting mechanical industries towards high technology, less labor-intensive automation and Tan Lap 1 industrial park with an area of 200 hectares, specialized wood. And by the end of 2030, it is expected to deploy 8 more industrial zones in the districts of Bac Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng and Phu Giao to synchronously develop industry in the districts of the province with a new planning area of over 6,000 hectares along according to Ring no. 4.
