MAS Leads Through Collaboration at the Singapore FinTech Festival

Singapore has firmly established itself as a leading global FinTech hub—driven not only by technological advancement but by the strategic leadership and collaboration spearheaded by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). At the core of this ecosystem is the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF), the world’s largest FinTech event and a key catalyst for innovation, partnership, and global dialogue.

Organized by MAS and Elevandi, in partnership with the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) and Constellar, the Festival brings together over 60,000 participants annually, including government leaders, financial institutions, startups, and investors from more than 130 countries. It serves as a central platform where innovation meets regulation, and public-private collaboration is actively nurtured.

MAS has played a pivotal role in fostering FinTech collaboration through cross-border partnerships, regulatory sandboxes, and pilot programs. For example:

  • Through Project Dunbar, MAS collaborated with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and other central banks to explore multi-CBDC platforms for international settlements.
  • The Financial Sector Technology and Innovation (FSTI) Scheme provides direct funding support to financial institutions and FinTech firms to co-develop and pilot innovative solutions.
  • Partnerships with global regulators and innovation hubs, such as through the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN), enable Singapore-based FinTechs to scale internationally with regulatory support.
  • MAS also works closely with corporates and tech firms through innovation labs, industry roundtables, and joint initiatives to tackle challenges in AI, ESG, digital finance, and cybersecurity.

The Singapore FinTech Festival is more than just an event—it reflects the nation’s vision to build a smart, green, and inclusive financial ecosystem powered by innovation and international cooperation.

As FinTech continues to reshape the financial landscape, Singapore remains at the forefront—not by working alone, but by building bridges across industries, sectors, and borders.
