Toll-free Policy for Small Passenger Vehicles on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge during the Lunar New Year Holiday
Recently announcement from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Authority, a special treat (toll-free policy) awaits owners of small passenger vehicles. Starting from midnight on February 9th until the enchanting midnight of February 17th, 2024 (during the Lunar New Year Holiday). you can travel through the HZMB without paying the usual RMB150 toll.
Whether you’re heading to Zhuhai or Macao, your journey through the Toll Plaza of the HZMB is during this period. The electronic toll lanes for uninterrupted traveling and the manual toll lanes where you might need to take a quick pause will operate as usual. Just a heads up, by small passenger vehicles, we mean those designed for carrying seven passengers or fewer, including the driver.
If people intend to drive personal vehicles traveling between Zhuhai or Macao, applicants are required to apply for Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles at first.
This scheme will be applicable from 9 a.m. on June 1, 2023, following an agreement between the Guangdong provincial government and the Hong Kong government. Approved Hong Kong cars will be able to travel between Hong Kong and Guangdong via HZMB from 00:00 AM on July 1, 2023. This scheme can only apply on the online platform.
