RAKEZ Workshop Empowers SMEs with Financial Strategies for Growth
The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) hosted a financial management workshop, equipping SMEs with practical tools to enhance their financial resilience and scalability. Titled ‘Mastering Financial Management: Smart Money Strategies for SMEs,’ the event took place at Compass Coworking Centre, bringing together entrepreneurs and financial leaders to discuss key challenges.
The session, led by Dr. Alida Helena Scholtz, CFO of RAKEZ, and tax consultant Reem Abushama, covered essential topics such as budget optimization, cash flow management, and cost reduction without sacrificing efficiency. Attendees gained actionable insights to make data-driven financial decisions and adapt to market fluctuations.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad emphasized the importance of financial literacy for SMEs, which contribute 63.5% to the UAE’s non-oil GDP. “With SMEs forming the majority of our 30,000+ business community, we are committed to fostering their growth through expert-led training and networking opportunities,” he said.
The workshop aligns with the UAE’s goal to expand its SME sector to *1 million businesses by 2030*, reinforcing RAKEZ’s role in driving sustainable economic development.
