Hue City People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 180/KH-UBND implementing "Vietnam semiconductor industry development strategy to 2030 and vision to 2050" in Hue City. The plan is to strive to turn Hue City into one of the centers for research, training, design, and manufacturing of chips and semiconductor circuits. Develop the semiconductor industry in Hue City with the nucleus of industrial parks capable of participating in high value-added stages in the value chain of Vietnam's semiconductor chip industry. Vision to 2050, Hue City will have an autonomous semiconductor industry ecosystem associated with Hue University, Hue College, and Hue Industrial College as centers for training, research, and development of the semiconductor industry.

Currently, many countries in the region and around the world have policies to attract foreign and domestic investment resources to develop the semiconductor industry, of which trade facilitation policies and preferential customs procedures are part of it.
