Ajman Records 37% Surge in New Licences in H1 2025

Driving Growth, Attracting Investors, Strengthening Competitiveness

Ajman has recorded a 37% increase in new professional licences during the first half of 2025, underscoring the emirate’s rising business appeal and economic resilience, according to the Department of Economic Development (DED).

The latest report from the Ajman Competitiveness Office highlights:

  • 24% overall growth in new licences
  • 11% rise in industrial licences
  • 9% growth in commercial licences
  • 8% increase in renewals (with industrial & commercial renewals up 9% and professional renewals up 8%)

 

Ajman’s investor base also continues to expand, with the number of new investors climbing 24% year-on-year, leading to an 8% rise in active licences since January 2025. Notably, Ethiopia and Sudan entered the top 10 nationalities of licence holders for the first time, reflecting Ajman’s increasingly diverse investment community.
