Seminar on Transforming Export Processing Enterprises (EPE) in Vietnam
The seminar on transforming export processing enterprises (EPE) in Vietnam took place successfully on January 17, 2025 at KOAS Conference Room, KOCHAM center. The seminar was organized with the purpose of sharing professional advice and practical solutions for officials and employees who are considering converting from regular businesses to export processing enterprises (EPE) in Vietnam.
Keynote speaker, Mr. Byun Sang Hyun, customs consultant, and CEO of UNI Consulting Co., Ltd., discussed and shared knowledge on the topic “Conversion from regular businesses to EPE businesses in Vietnam.” The main discussion content includes: Overview of the EPE business regime in Vietnam; Necessary procedures and preparations when converting from a regular enterprise to an export processing enterprise (EPE); Tax incentives and notes and practical advice to operate an export processing enterprise (EPE) successfully.
The Q&A session was lively, with members asking many questions related to specific issues during the transition process. Mr. Byun enthusiastically answered questions, helping businesses have a clearer view of the transformation roadmap. The seminar affirmed KOCHAM’s important role in connecting businesses and experts in the field of import and export. The cooperation between KOCHAM and General Director Byun Sang Hyun in particular and UNI Consulting Co., Ltd. in general promises to bring more value to the Korean business community in Vietnam.
In the upcoming year 2025, KOCHAM plans to organize more seminars and discussions to enhance exchanges between members of the Association. Hopefully UNI will have more opportunities to cooperate with KOCHAM, supporting businesses to overcome challenges and seize development opportunities in the import-export industry in Vietnam.
