According to the Ministry of Finance, in the first quarter of 2025, in the context of economic difficulties, the Ministry of Finance has advised the Government to deploy solutions to support taxes, fees, and charges from the beginning of the year. Specifically, a 2% reduction in VAT has been implemented for groups of goods and services currently subject to a 10% tax rate in the first 6 months of the year (a reduction of about VND26.1 trillion).

Hue City People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 180/KH-UBND implementing "Vietnam semiconductor industry development strategy to 2030 and vision to 2050" in Hue City. The plan is to strive to turn Hue City into one of the centers for research, training, design, and manufacturing of chips and semiconductor circuits. Develop the semiconductor industry in Hue City with the nucleus of industrial parks capable of participating in high value-added stages in the value chain of Vietnam's semiconductor chip industry. Vision to 2050, Hue City will have an autonomous semiconductor industry ecosystem associated with Hue University, Hue College, and Hue Industrial College as centers for training, research, and development of the semiconductor industry.
