HDF Energy Cooperates with Quang Ngai to Develop Green Hydrogen Projects

HDF Energy, the world’s leading enterprise in developing large-scale hydrogen infrastructure and manufacturing high-capacity fuel cells, has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai province, demonstrating its commitment in promoting green hydrogen and renewable energy projects in Quang Ngai province.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Mr. Vo Van Ran, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai province and Mr. Mathieu Geze, Asia Regional Director of HDF Energy, with the witness of Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Quang Ngai, Mr. Jean-Noël de Charentenay, Deputy General Director of HDF Energy, and Mr. Damien Havard, President, General Director of HDF Energy.

Through the partnership, HDF Energy and the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai province will create favorable conditions for the development of renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. The focus is on research and integration of HDF Energy’s pioneering technologies, including hydrogen power plants using HyPower (Gas-to-Power) and Renewstable® (Power-to-Power) technologies to provide clean, uninterrupted and reliable energy for the national power grid, large power-using plants such as chemical plants, petrochemical refineries and steel manufacturers…

Quang Ngai, with Dung Quat Economic Zone and Binh Son oil refinery, etc., is an ideal location to produce electricity from green hydrogen or advanced fuel filters using HDF Energy’s technology, thereby helping to improve efficiency and sustainability of the local energy system.

Speaking at the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Ran, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai province expressed his excitement about the cooperative relationship. “We hope to be able to establish effective cooperative relationships with investors and developers that own technology like HDF Energy for hydrogen industry projects in Quang Ngai province”, Mr. Ran said.

Mr. Mathieu Geze, Director of HDF Energy Asia, said that this cooperation represents an important step towards sustainable energy solutions, taking advantage of Quang Ngai’s strategic advantages to promote innovation and environmental management in the hydrogen sector.

With abundant wind and solar resources thanks to geographical advantages, Vietnam is taking important steps to expand renewable energy production, contributing to realizing the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
