Customs Facilitation Measures for Wine Entering the Mainland through Hong Kong
Starting from November 9, 2017, wines re-exported from Hong Kong enjoy instant Customs clearance at all 42 Customs districts of the Mainland under the Customs Facilitation Measures for Wine Entering the Mainland through Hong Kong.
Companies registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance and engaged in substantive business operation in wine may apply for registration under the Facilitation Measures (i.e. as Hong Kong Registered Wine Exporters). Registered Hong Kong wine exporters may submit advance wine consignment information online to enjoy instant Customs clearance upon their consignments’ arrival at Mainland ports.
Local companies/ registered businesses may apply to the Trade and Industry Department for registration as Registered Wine Exporters. The registration is voluntary. Non-registered companies/ registered businesses may continue to export wine to the Mainland in accordance with the general procedures of the Mainland Customs.
